Argentina midfielder Enzo Fernandez has addressed Chelsea supporters following the completion of his transfer to Manchester City.
As reported by İdman.Biz, the Argentine posted a farewell message on social media, admitting that the decision to leave the London club was not an easy one.
"The last few days have not been easy for me. Writing these words is not easy either. The truth is that I wasn't feeling at my best," Fernandez said.
The midfielder thanked his teammates, club staff and supporters, noting that Stamford Bridge and Chelsea's Cobham training ground had been home to him and his family for three years.
Manchester City completed the signing of the 25-year-old midfielder on the final day of the transfer window. The deal is worth £125 million, matching the English football transfer record.
Fernandez has signed a five-year contract with the Manchester club.
The Argentina international had played for Chelsea since January 2023, when he joined the Blues from Benfica. He went on to become one of the key figures in the London club's midfield before completing his move to Manchester.
