Fenerbahçe are set to strengthen their attack with the signing of Romelu Lukaku.
As reported by İdman.Biz, the Istanbul club have reached an agreement with Italian champions Napoli over the transfer of the 33-year-old Belgium international. According to Sky Sport Italia, the deal is worth €6 million (AZN 11.8 million) plus bonuses.
The two clubs held intensive negotiations in recent days. Fenerbahçe initially offered €5 million, and the sides remained apart in their valuation of the transfer. However, the Istanbul club’s improved offer led to an agreement.
Lukaku had previously agreed to move to Turkey. The striker is expected to sign a two-year contract with Fenerbahçe and earn around €10 million (AZN 19.6 million) per year, including bonuses.
