A regular meeting was held at the headquarters of the Azerbaijan Weightlifting Federation.
The report-type meeting, chaired by the federation’s vice-president Firdovsi Umudov, was attended by the national team coaches, as well as medical staff and other administrative personnel, Idman.biz reports.
First, the coaches' reports on the results of the U-15 and youth European Championship held in Madrid, Spain, were heard. The results and individual development dynamics of the athletes representing the U-15 and youth national teams were reviewed separately.
Then, the medical team’s opinions on athletes’ nutrition and rehabilitation were heard. The meeting also included specific instructions regarding the planned training camps for the national teams. The goal of these preparations is to form the squad for important competitions of the year, such as the 6th Islamic Solidarity Games, the World Championship, and the European Championship for juniors.
At the end of the meeting, internal federation matters were discussed.
