“We achieved good results both in the Hungarian championship and cup, as well as in European competitions.”
Ayshan Abdulazimova, a player of the Azerbaijan national volleyball team, said this in an interview with Idman.biz.
She commented on her departure from Hungary’s Vasas club. The 32-year-old middle blocker said that making this decision was not easy:
“I decided to leave Vasas after playing here for 6 years. During this period, we achieved many successes with the team. I reached the highest level of performance and success here. That’s why I decided that now is the right time to part ways with the club. Of course, this decision was not easy, but every athlete, every volleyball player, goes through changes in their career, and for me, this moment came this season.”
Abdulazimova said she has not yet decided where she will continue her career:
“I don’t have a concrete idea or decision yet regarding my future plans. As I mentioned earlier, the season was quite intense and had a tight schedule. After this long season, I need to get treatment and also take some rest.”
Abdulazimova, the captain of Vasas, has won the Hungarian championship five times.
