In the sports complex named after Ilham Aliyev, Nakhchivan championships in volleyball among teenage boys and girls dedicated to the Victory Day, organized by the Nakhchivan Volleyball Federation, with the support of the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Ministry of Education of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, started.

At the event, the dear memory of the martyrs of Azerbaijan, who died for the freedom and integrity of the country, was commemorated with a minute of silence. The National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was played at the ceremony.
The championship continued with the artistic part.
At the opening ceremony, President of the Public Union of the "Nakhchivan Volleyball Federation" Vugar Aliyev, Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, acting minister, Majid Seyidov, and Ovni Muradov, Deputy Minister of Education of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, have delivered speeches and wished success to the teams.
Aydın Mirzayev, the vice-president of the federation, informed about the regulations of the competition.
In the competition in which 16 teams participated, the girls' competition started first. They will face Shahbuz, Sharur, Babek, Julfa in group A, and Sadarak, Nakhchivan, Ordubad, Kangarli in group B. Two teams from each group will qualify for the next round.
On November 2, the games will be started within the framework of the championship of the autonomous republic of boys' teams.
