Azerbaijan national volleyball team player Yuliya Karimova has described the European Championship as a very important and special competition.
As reported by İdman.Biz, Karimova shared her thoughts on the tournament and the responsibility of representing Azerbaijan on the international stage.
"The European Championship is a very important and special tournament for me. It always brings great responsibility because you represent not only yourself, but also the team and the country. I have great respect for this competition and see every appearance as an opportunity to demonstrate everything we have been working on for a long time," Karimova told Report.
The Azerbaijani volleyball player admitted that competing at such a major tournament also comes with nerves and strong emotions.
"Of course, there is excitement, but competitions like this give you great experience, emotions and motivation to become stronger. The most important thing for me is to go onto the court and do everything I can so that I have no regrets afterwards," she added.
Azerbaijan finished third in Group C, which was held in Baku, before losing to Türkiye in the round of 16.
