The lots were drawn for the Azerbaijan Volleyball Championship at the Darnagul Volleyball Center.
According to İdman.biz, the president of the national federation, Shahin Baghirov, who delivered the opening speech, said that he hoped that the championship would be held in an interesting competitive environment and that new names would emerge.
The vice-president of the organization, Faig Garayev, drew the attention of the gathering to the increase in the number of participating teams: "Next season, we will see new clubs in the championship, six teams each will perform in the women's and men's championships. It is especially nice to see "Ganja" among them.
In the first round of the High League among female volleyball players, "National Aviation Academy" will challenge "Ganja", "Azerrail" will challenge UNEC, "Murov Az Terminal" will challenge "Absheron".
In the first round among men's volleyball players, "Azerrail" will face Lachin, MOIK will face "Khari Bulbul" of Shusha, and "Neftchi" will face "Murov Az Terminal".
The championship will start on November 6.
