Azerbaijani taekwondo athletes continue their performances at the Universiade held in Germany’s Rhine-Ruhr region.
According to the correspondent of Idman.biz sent to Germany, three of our athletes competed on the next day of the tournament but finished the day without medals.
Fuad Tahmazov (63 kg) started with a victory. He defeated Slovakia's Mateja Horvat but lost in the round of 16 to Nathan Gillet (France).
Eltaj Gafarov (87 kg) eliminated Hungary’s Kelen Bailey in his opening match but was stopped by Artem Harbar (Ukraine) in the quarterfinals.
Maryam Mammadova (53 kg) was unable to get past Chutikan Jongkolrattanawattana (Thailand) in the round of 32.
