The sports director of the Azerbaijan Swimming Federation, Ivan Petrov, participated in the training camp held at the Guba Olympic Sports Complex.
Idman.biz reports with reference to the federation that the Hungarian specialist I. Petrov watched the training process together with the head coach of the national team, Rashad Abdurrahmanov.
Federation officials held seminars and trainings for coaches and athletes in order to increase the professionalism of the Azerbaijani swimmers within the framework of the event.
It was stated at the seminar that the goal is to support the improvement of the qualifications of the coaches in the national team, to train talented athletes thanks to them, to help reveal the potentials of the national swimmers and to improve their skills.
I. Petrov added that today a new young generation is growing up in water sports in Azerbaijan: "As the number of skilled athletes increases, there is a need to reform the composition of the national team. It is from this point of view that we will continue our work in the direction of further improvement of the professionalism of both coaches and athletes."
It should be noted that the national team has been training in the Guba Olympic Complex since October 8.
