An "Olympic Day" event was held to commemorate the 131st anniversary of the founding of the International Olympic Committee (IOC).
According to Idman.biz, the event took place at Antena Park in the Narimanov district and was organized by the National Olympic Committee (NOC). Athletes participating in the European Youth Olympic Festival (EYOF), schoolchildren, officials, and media representatives attended the celebration.
Following the opening, the winners of EYOF 2025 were presented. Chingiz Huseynzada, Vice-President of the NOC, delivered a speech and extended his congratulations to the winners.
As part of the event, relay races and tug-of-war competitions were also held. The winners received trophies and medals from the NOC’s Vice-Presidents Farid Mansurov and Zemfira Meftakhetdinova.
The event concluded with a commemorative photo and continued with an artistic program.
The competition was organized within the framework of the Olympic movement with the support of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Baku City Executive Power, TABIB, the Baku City Police Department, park staff, and the Azerbaijan Tug-of-War and Athletics Federations.
