The body of a 17-year-old Azerbaijani champion who drowned in a canal in Agdash has been found.
Idman.biz, citing the Ministry of Emergency Situations’ press service, reports that the body of Deniz Suleymanov, born in 2008, was recovered from the water by divers-rescuers of the Ministry’s Small Vessels Control and Water Rescue State Service and handed over to the relevant authorities.
Deniz Suleymanov was the Azerbaijani champion in the sport of alpakut.

Idman.biz, citing AZERTAC, reports that the incident occurred in the section of the Upper Shirvan Canal passing through the village of Agdzhayazy in the Agdash district.
Deniz Suleymanov, born in 2008, drowned while swimming in the canal.
Reportedly, the teenager was swimming with his father. Although his father noticed he was drowning and tried to save him, it was not possible.
The Regional Diving and Search Unit of the Ministry of Emergency Situations has been dispatched to the area. Search operations are currently ongoing to locate the body.
