Minister of Youth and Sports Farid Gayibov, Vice-President of the National Olympic Committee (NOC) Chingiz Huseynzade and General Secretary Azer Aliyev, Executive Director of the Media Development Agency Ahmed Ismayilov, Rector of the National Olympic Committee Fuad Hajiyev attended the event held in the assembly hall of the Azerbaijan State Academy of Physical Education and Sports. , President of Azerbaijan National Paralympic Committee Hidayat Abdullayev, Head of Trend International Information Agency Ilgar Huseynov, Olympic and world champions, sports community and media representatives participated.
A video about the "Idman.biz" website was shown at the ceremony. It was reported that the portal will provide information about all types of sports. The website will operate in Azerbaijani, Russian and English languages. , "Telegram" and other social network accounts. The multimedia section of the site will also be active.
Project leader Anar Imanov noted that the main activity of the site is the promotion of Azerbaijani sports. The site is published in three languages and will satisfy any audience, it will tell about the events of all types of sports life of the country.
"In addition to football, almost all sports will be reflected here, the latest events, analytical materials and interviews from the scene will be promptly published on the site," said A. Imanov.
The İdman.biz team, which will expand further in the future, was also presented.
Minister of Youth and Sports Farid Gayibov mentioned the recent successes of Azerbaijani athletes in his speech.
"For the first time in history, the Greco-Roman wrestling team of Azerbaijan won the first place in the team competition of the world championship and gave us a holiday. We met them at the airport in the morning, and now we are participating in the presentation of the new portal - Idman.biz. It is a good thing that there is an English version of the portal, which will help promote our sport abroad," said F. Gayibov.
Chingiz Huseynzade, the vice-president of the National Olympic Committee, also expressed his sincere wishes for the new project and hoped that many analytical materials would be reflected in the portal.
Then the word was given to the wrestler Rafig Huseynov, who recently became the world champion for the second time in his career. He said that the creation of a new sports website is undoubtedly a positive thing: "The most important element of journalists' work is objectivity and impartiality. I believe that Idman.biz will continue to promote Azerbaijani sports. I am especially pleased to have an English version of the portal. This will help us, the athletes, to share the news with the foreign audience."
Idman.biz has already started its activities and will soon increase its activities.
