Today, 3 years have passed since the beginning of the Patriotic War of Azerbaijan. In response to Armenia's next military aggression against Azerbaijan, which began on September 27, 2020, our people started the Patriotic War under the leadership of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev in order to liberate the occupied lands. Representatives of the sports community - athletes, judges and coaches - were among those who showed heroism in the struggle for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of our country, which is our work of Right and Honor.
Musayev, who participated in the 44-day national war from the first day, said on Memorial Day that the presence of well-known people in the battlefield gave great motivation to our soldiers: "As a fighter, this honored me. As a reserve officer at the training station, it was a great honor for me to teach them how to fire a weapon, to be with them. After that, we left for the battlefields. It's a great feeling to be with our soldiers, to fight side by side with them."
Musayev said that one event in the war was engraved in his memory for life: "We successfully carried out the task given to us by our military unit commander Oruj Abdullayev in the direction of Garagol - Gafan together with the personnel. I will never forget this event. Because it is confidential, I cannot reveal everything. But we managed the task well."
Our MMA fighter also spoke about the importance of participating in competitions with the status of a winning country after the Patriotic War: "It is a really proud feeling to participate in competitions as a winning country after the war. They already know us as a winning country. It's really nice to experience this feeling, this feeling. Thankfully, we managed to do it."
