Judo competitions continue at the Universiade held in Germany’s Rhein-Ruhr region.
According to correspondent of Idman.biz sent to Germany, five Azerbaijani judokas competed on the tatami today.
World Championship bronze medalist Eljan Hajiyev (90 kg) continues his successful performance. He won against Gergely Nerpel (Hungary) in the semifinal.
Thus, Eljan will compete for the gold medal.

Judo competitions continue at the Universiade held in Germany's Rhine-Ruhr region.
According to a report from correspondent of Idman.biz in Germany, five Azerbaijani judokas competed on the tatami today.
Among them is Eljan Hajiyev (90 kg), a bronze medalist at the World Championships. He started his fight from the second round, defeating Brazilian representative Guilherme Morassi. He then beat Augustas Slyteris (Lithuania) to advance to the semifinals.
Davud Namazli (100 kg) defeated Lithuanian athlete Tadas Narkus in his first match but lost to Japanese competitor Miku Nozomu in the next round.
Ramazan Ahmadov (+100 kg) advanced by defeating Moldovan athlete Alin Bagrin.
Nigar Suleymanova (+78 kg) defeated Lucy Williams from Great Britain but later lost to South Korean Hayun Kim.
Narmin Amirli (78 kg) was defeated in her first match by French athlete Kaila Issoufi.
