With that, Azerbaijani judokas finished the second day of the World Cup with 3 medals. Before Yusubov, Khadija Gadashova (52 kg) won gold, and Mahammad Musayev (60 kg) won silver.

After a 10-year break, Nihad Mamishov (50 kg) became the champion and sang the national anthem of Azerbaijan in a similar competition.
