Azerbaijani judokas won 2 more medals on the third day of the European Championship among veterans held in the Latvian capital Riga.
Azerbaijani only female representative Zulfiya Huseynova (F-6, 70 kg) defeated all her rivals by ippon and became the European champion, Idman.biz reports.
Samir Ismayilov (73 kg), who competed in the M-1 age category, took third place and won a bronze medal.
Earlier, Farhad Rajabli (M-8, 90 kg), Babek Hajiyev (M-4, 60 kg), Vagif Karimov (M-4, 73 kg), Emil Huseynov (M-4, 100 kg) won gold medals, and Samir Ismayilov (M-3, 81 kg) won bronze medals.
The team, which currently has 7 medals (5 gold, 2 bronze), is ranked 4th in the men's competition and 5th in the overall team ranking among 37 countries.
