The World Championship among master judokas, held in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates, has ended.
Idman.biz informs that the Azerbaijani athletes won 5 gold, 1 silver and 5 bronze medals in the competition.
The veterans finished the championship in 6th place overall, and 5th place among men.
On the fourth day of the competition, 15 of our judokas in M2 and F5 age categories fought for medals. They won 1 gold and 1 bronze medal on the last day of the competition.
Nadir Babayev won a gold medal and Vugar Babayev won a bronze medal in M2 age category at 66 kg weight. Our other judoka, Khayal Zaliyev, who competed in the same weight category, was satisfied with the 7th place. Afgan Abdullayev finished the competition in 5th place in 60 kg.
In the F5 age category, Zulfiyya Huseynova (70 kg) ranked 5th.
