He noted that his semifinal match was particularly challenging: "My toughest match was in the semifinals against an Armenian judoka. But thankfully, I emerged victorious. I was overjoyed to defeat him, as it was something I had always wanted."
Azerbaijani athletes secured a total of 2 gold, 4 silver, and 7 bronze medals at the event, finishing first among the boys in the medal standings.
