The World Youth Championship in Odivelas, Portugal, will end today.

Azerbaijan will compete with its 11 athletes at the World Cup, where 15 countries will compete for medals.
Among the boys are Suleyman Aliyev, Vusal Galandarzada (both 73 kg), Vugar Talibov, Ismayil Zamanov (both 90 kg), Ramazan Ahmadov, Kanan Nasibov (both +90 kg), and in girls from Aydan Valiyeva, Fidan Alizade (both 57 kg), Parvana Abdullayeva (70 kg), Nigar Suleymanova and Narmin Amirli (both +70 kg) will test their strengthes.
The first opponents of our judokas were the Indian team. Our team finished the match with a 4:2 victory. Among our athletes, Ismayilov, Alizada, Aliyev and Zamanov won, while Suleymanova and Abdullayeva lost to their opponents.
Our team tested its strength against France in the 1/4 finals. The team lost with a score of 2:4. Alizada and Talibov ended their match with victory. Nasibov, Galandarzada, Abdullayeva and Suleymanova lost.
In the consolation match, our national team faced Kazakhstan. Our team won 4:0. Qalandarzada, Talibov, Valiyeva and Alizada successfully completed their matches in the team.
Our judo team lost in the match for bronze. The competition against Brazil was tense and the opponent won with a score of 4:2. As a result, our national team finished the competition on the 5th place.
