The Judo Grand Prix has ended in Linz, Austria.
Idman.biz reports that on the last day of the competition, a member of the Azerbaijan national team stepped on the mat.
In the men's race, Jamal Gamzatkhanov (+100 kg) competed for medals.

Jamal joined the fight from the 1/16 final. He defeated Mustafa Fofana (Guinea) in the first match. Gamzatkhanov also defeated Frenchman Joseph Terhek in the 1/8 finals. The Azerbaijani athlete failed to reach the semi-finals, losing to Georgian Guram Tushushvili in the next round. He was stronger than Ukrainian Yevgeny Belensky in the consolation match.
Jamal wrestled with German Losseni Kone in the bronze medal match. The defeated judoka finished the tournament on the 5th place.
It should be noted that Rashid Mammadaliyev (73 kg) won a silver medal in the Grand Prix of Azerbaijan national team.
