The Azerbaijan national team will take part in the first European Chovgan Championship, scheduled to be held June 3–7 in Szonowice, Poland.
The tournament is organized by the International Chovgan Federation (ICF) and will feature six national teams from Europe: Azerbaijan, the United Kingdom, Hungary, Malta, Poland, and Turkiye, Idman.biz reports.
As part of the championship program, the third General Assembly of the International Chovgan Federation will also take place on June 4. The agenda includes the admission of new members, setting dates and locations for future continental championships, and outlining the strategic direction of the federation.
The ICF has introduced a long-term calendar where continental championships are held in odd-numbered years and world championships in even-numbered years. In 2025, continental events are planned in Asia, South America, Africa, and Europe.
