With the support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and the organization of the Azerbaijan Equestrian Federation (EFAR), Azerbaijan is taking part for the first time with a 130-member delegation in the prestigious Royal Windsor Horse Show 2025 in the United Kingdom.
One of the delegation members, young rider Elvina Valesheva, expressed her pride in representing her country during an interview with AZERTAC, Idman.biz reports.
“Waving the Azerbaijani flag in the UK is a tremendous honor for us,” she said. “During the visit, we’ll be performing in the show segment titled ‘Azerbaijan – Land of Fire’. With a live orchestra accompanying the performance, the excitement is even greater.”
Elvina also shared that her performance will include three distinct movements: “One of them involves doing a split between two horses. It's both a thrilling and highly responsible moment for me.”
Following the Windsor show, Elvina will continue representing Azerbaijan at another international event in Turkey from May 22 to 25.
The ‘Azerbaijan – Land of Fire’ show featured a dazzling display of Karabakh horses, graceful dancers, and a newly formed orchestra. The performance captivated the Windsor audience with the spirit, beauty, and tradition of Azerbaijani culture — from the wild elegance of Karabakh horses to the charm of national dances and music.
The Royal Windsor Horse Show 2025 is being held from May 15 to 18 within the grounds of the historic Windsor Castle and welcomes participants from around the world.
