The main goal of Azerbaijan’s acrobatic gymnasts in the World Cup series was to finish in one of the top two positions.
Idman.biz reports that Azerbaijani acrobatic gymnast Daniel Abbasov shared this with Report news agency.
He said they ended the competition with a successful result: “Our goal was to secure one of the top two places in the World Cup, and we worked very hard for it. We finished the last competition with a silver medal. This is considered a successful result for us. Before the competition, we were giving our all to perform at the highest level. The result made both me and my team very happy.”
Abbasov believes they will also perform well at the upcoming World Games: “We are preparing for the World Games to be held in August. I believe we will achieve good results at that competition as well.”
Azerbaijan’s male acrobatic gymnastics pair (Murad Rafiyev - Daniel Abbasov) have shown high results at the stages held in Purs, Burgas, Baku, and Jesi, and have become winners of the World Cup series, organized by the International Gymnastics Federation.
