The results in the World Cup series have been successful for Azerbaijan’s acrobatic gymnasts.
According to Idman.biz, Azerbaijani gymnast Murad Rafiyev said this in an interview with Report news agency.
He stated that he had expected success before the competition: “The results at the last World Cup were successful for us. We finished the competition with a silver medal. This was our last event of this kind in the current season. The results of all World Cups held throughout the season were summed up, and with 96 points, we became the winner of the series. Based on our preparations before the competition, we expected to win either a gold or silver medal and take the overall series title. In the end, that’s exactly what happened.”
Rafiyev also shared the team’s upcoming plans: “Ahead of us is the World Games, which are held once every four years. We are preparing very seriously for this event, aiming to return with a medal for our country.”
Azerbaijan’s men’s acrobatic gymnastics pair (Murad Rafiyev – Daniel Abbasov) were crowned champions of the World Cup series by achieving high results in the stages held in Purs, Burgas, Baku, and Rzeszow, organized by the International Gymnastics Federation.
