European Championship silver medalist Tofig Aliyev has ended his run at the Trampoline World Cup held in Coimbra, Portugal.
According to Idman.biz, in the first qualification round, the Azerbaijani national team gymnast placed second, and in the second round, he advanced to the semifinals along with his teammate Bilal Gurbanov, finishing in sixth place.
In the semifinal stage, only four of the eight participants qualified for the final. Aliyev placed sixth and Gurbanov eighth, meaning both were eliminated from the medal contention.
Earlier this year, Aliyev won a silver medal at the World Championships held in Baku.
