Applications open for Acrobatic Gymnastics World Cup in Baku

The World Cup series in gymnastics disciplines continues in Baku with the acrobatic gymnastics stage.

Following the trampoline & tumbling, rhythmic, and artistic gymnastics events, Azerbaijan’s capital will host the Acrobatic Gymnastics World Cup on June 13–15, Idman.biz reports.

So far, 63 athletes from seven countries have submitted applications to participate in the event. Acrobats from Azerbaijan, China, Germany, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, India, and Uzbekistan are expected to compete at the National Gymnastics Arena.

Baku previously hosted the Acrobatic Gymnastics World Cup in 2018. Additionally, the city welcomed the World Championships and World Age Group Competitions in this discipline three years ago.

This year’s World Cup series consists of five stages. The season kicked off in early March in Puurs-Sint-Amands, Belgium. The next stage will be held in Burgas, Bulgaria (May 30 – June 1), followed by the Baku stage.

The series will then continue in Aalen, Germany (June 19–21), and conclude with the final in Rzeszów, Poland (June 27–29).
