The Olympic qualification system in gymnastics has been officially approved.
The meeting of the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG) Council was held in Qawra, Malta, Idman.biz reports.
President of European Gymnastics, Farid Gayibov, also attended the meeting.
At the session, the Olympic qualification system for men's and women's artistic gymnastics, rhythmic gymnastics, and trampoline for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Games was approved. The full regulations will be announced soon.
In addition, a tender has been launched for hosting the 2029 World Championships in men’s and women’s artistic gymnastics, rhythmic gymnastics, and trampoline, as well as the World Championships for juniors.
The FIG Council also approved proposed amendments to the Technical Regulations and updates to the Disciplinary Code.
