Former Formula 1 boss Bernie Ecclestone has revealed his favorite for the current season of the “King of Races.”
Ecclestone predicts that the title will go to Australian McLaren driver Oscar Piastri, Idman.biz reports.
“After three races, I am confident in the Australian’s victory! He is going his own way, and mentally he is far superior to Lando Norris,” Ecclestone stated.
Piastri currently leads the drivers’ standings with 284 points. His teammate Lando Norris, in second place, has 275 points. The third spot is held by last year’s champion, Max Verstappen from Red Bull, with 187 points.
British businessman Bernard Charles (Bernie) Ecclestone is the honorary president of Formula One Management and Formula 1 Administration. He served as the head of Formula 1 until January 23, 2017.
