Max Verstappen, the leader of the World Championship in the Formula 1 car class, who recently won the Dutch Grand Prix, revealed the recipe for his success this season.
According to İdman.biz, the pilot of Red Bull, who won his 9th consecutive victory in the season thanks to his victory in Zandvoort, admitted that his results after the Baku race helped to rise to a new level. At the city circuit in June, Verstappen finished second to teammate Sergio Perez.
"I learned a lot during the weekend in Baku. I understood how to adjust the machine, to get more out of it. I didn’t win that race, but I tried hard. Therefore, the car was not quite stable at the distance, but at some point I found the right rhythm. Then I damaged the tires a lot, but I realized that the solutions I found will work in the next Grand Prix. Since then, they have helped me every step of the way," Verstappen admitted.
