Toyota’s motorsport division, Toyota GAZOO Racing (TGR), has become the new title sponsor of the Haas Formula 1 team, the American outfit announced.
Idman.Biz reports that Toyota and Haas have been collaborating since 2024.
A key element of the existing partnership between the two companies was highlighted during Haas’s first full TPC (Testing of Previous Cars) program in the 2025 season — a program that will officially be named the “TGR Haas Driver Development Program” starting in 2026.
“For us, it is certainly a great honor to deepen our relationship with TGR through this new title sponsorship agreement. Our collaboration so far has been exactly what we envisioned. This is evident in the successful TPC program this season, but behind the scenes, much more is happening — including the development and installation of a simulator at our Banbury base by 2026.
The development of staff working jointly with Haas and TGR has brought us immense benefits, and as our partnership matures, these benefits will only grow. We are also excited to expand collaboration within our driver development program, and it is very inspiring to see the talented young drivers TGR supports in this process,” said Haas team principal Ayato Komatsu, as quoted by the team’s press service.
