Former Formula 1 driver and current expert Christian Fittipaldi has analyzed “McLaren” driver Oscar Piastri’s recent disappointing performances.
Idman.Biz reports that Fittipaldi believes Piastri’s difficulties began at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix.
“He never said much, he was always calm and had created an image like Raikkonen. But I haven’t seen that ‘ice-cold’ side of him since the Baku race. I watch him from the outside, so it would be unfair to say he has cracked under pressure. I don’t know what exactly happened. Perhaps there are several factors in recent races that have prevented him from achieving excellent results.
But one thing is certain. His performance since Azerbaijan has been completely different. That’s a fact. Now we see a different Piastri behind the wheel,” Motorsport quotes Fittipaldi as saying.
