McLaren driver Oscar Piastri has shared his thoughts on the first-lap incident with teammate Lando Norris during the Singapore Grand Prix, reports Idman.Biz.
“We had many discussions within the team, and they were very productive. We understand that we are competing as one unit and moving forward together. The incident that happened in Singapore does not reflect our vision. Lando took responsibility for what happened, as did the team. It’s clear to us that what occurred on the first lap is not how we want to race,” Piastri said, as quoted by Motorsport.
“I’m pleased with the equality within the team. We analyzed the incident, and Lando was found at fault. But I’m very happy that there’s no favoritism or bias. Each of us has a fair chance to fight for the title, and I believe this is the best scenario for both of us to continue competing,” he added.
