After the 1-0 away victory over Qarabag, Jannatov added that all players were fully ready for the match: “Even those who came on later performed well. That’s why we won. The goalkeeper also spoke about changes within the team compared to last season: “Compared to last year, many things have changed. The new players have made their mark on the field. Looking at the game, it’s clear that the level of play is completely different, and the atmosphere in the stands has also changed. It’s important to attract fans back to the stadium. We must prove it with our performance and victories. I’m sure the stands will be full again.”
Regarding the national team squad to be announced soon, Cənnətov noted: “Currently, there are few local players in the championship, only two have had such opportunities. Some players do not perform consistently on the field, but that does not reflect their abilities. Not every player is called up to the national team immediately. The final decision is with the head coach. We just have to wait and be ready at any moment.”
