Manchester City central defender Manuel Akanji could move to Galatasaray.
Journalist Fabrizio Romano shared the news on social media, Idman.biz reports.
According to the source, the Turkish club has already initiated preliminary contact with both the “Manchester City” and the player’s agent. However, Akanji has not yet made a decision regarding the transfer.
The 30-year-old previously played for Winterthur, Basel, and Borussia Dortmund and has been representing the Switzerland national team since 2017, earning 71 caps and scoring 3 goals.
According to Transfermarkt, Akanji’s current transfer value is €28 million. His contract with Manchester City runs until the summer of 2027.
Galatasaray is also interested in signing goalkeeper Ederson from Manchester City.
