The club official spoke about Gabala's goals for the upcoming season after returning to the top division: “The head coach has expressed satisfaction with the team’s performance and noted that the team is improving with each game. However, it’s too early to say that the squad is fully ready because we still plan to make transfers. We’re looking to strengthen the team with 3–4 more players. Negotiations are ongoing. Most likely, we will sign foreign players. Only after their transfer can we consider the squad complete. For now, the work continues. We are waiting for the championship to start. As always, we will try to play football worthy of Gabala’s name. Once the team is fully formed and we assess the condition of the new players, we will be able to set our targets.”
In their most recent friendly match, the “Gabala” beat Sumgayit 1–0. Before that, Kakhaber Tskhadadze’s team defeated Shamakhi (2–1) and Kapaz (2–0).
