Andrea Pirlo has been appointed head coach of Dubai United.
The 46-year-old Italian specialist’s new team competes in the UAE First Division League, Idman.biz reports.
A 2006 World Cup winner with the Italian national team, Pirlo ended his playing career in 2017. His most recent managerial role was with Sampdoria. He began his professional coaching career in 2020 by taking charge of Juventus, after previously working within the club’s youth system.
In his first season at Juventus, Pirlo won the Italian Super Cup and the Coppa Italia. He later managed Turkish side Fatih Karagumruk.
