- A team of Azerbaijani deputies will also participate in the football tournament dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Turkiye. How would you rate the preparations for the race that will start today?
- This year has been declared the year of Heydar Aliyev in Azerbaijan. As in all fields within the year, in sports, the dear memory of the Great Leader is celebrated with large-scale events. The Sports Policy Committee of the Azerbaijan Milli Majlis continues the series of events with its representation at the international inter-parliamentary football tournament. Our preparations for the tournament consisted of 2 stages. The meeting was chaired by Iskandar Javadov, a member of the Executive Committee of AFFA.
- Can you gather information about competitors? Which country's representatives do you think are the strongest?
- Our opponents are also prepared to win. However, the main candidates for winning medals are the teams of Turkish and Azerbaijani deputies. We are determined to win. We will try to make a comprehensive contribution to the promotion of sports and the development of football.
- Have you met the teams that will participate in the tournament before?
- Earlier we had games with teams represented in the tournament. We will face Romania in the first match of the competition.
- What will be your main goal in the competition?
- Our main goal is to further develop friendship and fraternal relations between parliaments and peoples and commemorate the historical year for the Turkish nation.
