Markus Rashford is close to moving from Manchester United to Barcelona.
Idman.biz, citing The Athletic, reports that the Catalan club has reached an agreement to loan the forward until the summer of 2026 with an option to complete a full transfer afterward.
Barcelona’s head coach Hans-Dieter Flick has confirmed the move and personally spoke with the 27-year-old English player. The club views Rashford as a versatile attacker who can play both on the wing and centrally. This has become especially relevant following unsuccessful attempts to sign Luis Diaz and Nico Williams staying at Athletic.
Rashford spent last season on loan at Aston Villa, scoring 4 goals in 17 games but ended the season early due to injury. He has not appeared for Manchester United since December and has expressed his readiness for a new challenge in his career.
