The award ceremony for the Minifootball World Championship, hosted in Baku, has officially taken place.
The ceremony was held at the National Gymnastics Arena and was attended by high-ranking officials, including President of the World Minifootball Federation Filip Juda, Vice President Peter Kralik, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Youth and Sports Farid Gayibov, and President of the Azerbaijan Minifootball Federation Orkhan Mammadov, Idman.biz reports.
In his address at the event, Minister Farid Gayibov praised the championship’s organization and congratulated the Azerbaijani people on the national team’s historic victory.
AMF President Orkhan Mammadov expressed his gratitude to everyone who contributed to the successful hosting of the tournament. He emphasized the significance of Baku serving as the venue for such a prestigious competition.
As part of the ceremony, the Azerbaijani national team – newly crowned world champions – were awarded gold medals and the championship trophy. Silver medals were presented to runners-up Hungary, while third-place finishers Serbia received bronze medals.
