“We played a great match against the Czech Republic. They fought until the end.”
These remarks came from Goran Nenezić, a player of the Montenegro national minifootball team, during an interview with AZERTAC about advancing to the semifinals of the WMF World Cup being held in Baku, Idman.biz reports.
Nenezić praised his team’s defensive strength:
“I believe we have the best defense in the tournament. We proved our reliability in that position during the match against the Czech Republic. One goal decided everything.”
He also shared his thoughts on their next opponent — Azerbaijan:
“The Azerbaijani team is very strong. Right now, I consider them the best in the world. But we also have a solid defense. We believe we can achieve a good result.”
Speaking about the venue, Nenezić said:
“The conditions at the National Gymnastics Arena are ideal. The championship has been organized perfectly. This is my first tournament with the national team, and playing in such an atmosphere gives us an extra boost.”
The semifinal between Azerbaijan and Montenegro will take place today at 20:00.
