Azerbaijani international Mahir Emreli has attracted interest from another German club.
2. Bundesliga side Kaiserslautern is keen to sign the 28-year-old striker, Idman.biz reports.
The club is hoping to bring Emreli in as a free agent, following the expiration of his contract with Nürnberg, which will not be extended this summer. Kaiserslautern sees him as a key reinforcement for their attacking line.
Emreli is expected to replace Ragnar Ache, who is likely to transfer to Köln. The club’s executive director Thomas Hengen and sporting director Marcel Klos are reportedly eager to see the Azerbaijani forward join their squad.
Emreli is also on the radar of another German side – St. Pauli.
