“Qarabag’s league title this season came as no surprise to me — this is a club with a clear strategy,” said former Qarabag forward Danilo Dias in an interview with Sportal.az, as reported by Idman.biz.
Dias praised the dominance of the Aghdam-based club and expressed confidence in their upcoming performances, Idman.biz reports.
He believes Qarabag has what it takes to defeat Sabah in the national cup final:
“Qarabag’s success didn’t happen overnight. There’s stable, continuous work going on at the club, and they’re always pushing for improvement. I was confident they would secure the league title this season because they’re the strongest team in the Premier League — and they proved it. I think Qarabag’s dominance could continue for many years. They’ve also reached the national cup final, and of course, they’re strong contenders for that title as well. True, the cup final is a one-off match where anything can happen, but in my opinion, Qarabag are the clear favorites.”
Looking ahead to the European stage, Dias added: “I believe we’ll see a very strong Qarabag in European competitions next season. As we’ve seen in past years, they have the potential to advance through the rounds and achieve great results.”
