England extends lead, Azerbaijan holds position

The first-leg matches of the European club competition semifinals have concluded.
Six games were played this week across the Champions League, Europa League, and Conference League, Idman.biz reports.

Following these matches, UEFA has updated its country rankings. England, Spain, and France all boosted their points tally. With three wins from English clubs, the creators of the game have extended their lead and further strengthened their position at the top.

Azerbaijan’s position remains unchanged. Although no Azerbaijani clubs are left in European competitions, the country holds 30th place with 19.625 points.

This season, Azerbaijan has earned a total of 2.875 points, with contributions from Zira and Qarabag (1.250 points each), Sabah (0.250), and Sumgayit (0.125).

For context, England currently tops the UEFA ranking table with 113.410 points.
