The Azerbaijan U19 national football team played their next match.
According to Idman.biz, our team faced the host team in the final match of the European Championship qualifiers, Group VII.
After conceding two goals to Iceland and four unanswered goals to Ireland, the team, coached by Elkhan Abdullayev, played the hosts of the tournament in Moldova.
Although our team led in the first half with two goals from Hasan Nazarli, they couldn’t maintain the advantage after halftime, ending the match 2:2. The team left the field with one point, finishing last in the group and bidding farewell to the qualifiers.
In the other match of the round, Ireland defeated Iceland 2:1.
