An unusual goal was scored in the Japanese Championship.
According to Idman.biz, Machida Zelvia’s 27-year-old forward, Yuki Soma, scored directly from a corner kick in their 3-0 victory over Tokyo. The visiting goalkeeper, attempting to stop the ball, ended up carrying it over the line himself.
This is Machida Zelvia's first season in the J1 League, and with two rounds left, they are in third place, trailing league leaders Vissel Kobe by five points.
