He was considered the strongest among his peers in the attacking position. However, he fell behind significantly after his transfers to clubs like Trabzonspor, Jilina, and Qarabag, which hindered his progress. Rumors suggest he received between $500,000 to $1 million for changing his citizenship."
Although Ramil Sheydayev, a talent of Zenit, played for Russia's youth and junior teams, he eventually chose to represent Azerbaijan.
