The call-up of Qarabag goalkeeper Andrey Lunev to the Russian national team has increased the competition in the team.
Idman.biz reports that the goalkeeper of Krasnodar Matvey Safonov commented on the competition with his compatriot.
He noted that the name of the main goalkeeper of the national team will be clarified in the preparation process: "Competition with Lunev? We have good relations with him. I will be glad to see Andrey in the national team. His capacity for the national team will become clear in training. Then it will be known who is ready. Probably, it will be decided who will be the goalkeeper."
It should be noted that 38 players were included in the preliminary list announced for the friendly matches of the Russian national team in March. Andrey Lunev was also included in that team.
