Azerbaijan's position in the UEFA association coefficient ranking for the current European season has changed again, with Qarabag's latest victory returning the country to the top.
As reported by İdman.Biz, Azerbaijan has accumulated 3.375 coefficient points this season and now shares first place after moving ahead of Latvia.
Sabah and Qarabag have each contributed 1.250 points to Azerbaijan's seasonal coefficient, while Zira have added 0.625 and Neftchi 0.250.
In UEFA's overall five-year association ranking, Azerbaijan currently sits 26th with 21.937 points. Two Azerbaijani clubs remain in European competition.
Slovenia, with 22.843 points, occupies 24th place, while Slovakia is 27th with 20.625. Both countries have only one club still competing in European tournaments.
England leads the overall UEFA association ranking with 98.574 points.
Earlier this week, Sabah suffered a 2-1 defeat to Israel's Hapoel Beer-Sheva in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League playoff round. Qarabag, meanwhile, secured a 1-0 away victory over Dutch side Twente in the first leg of their UEFA Conference League playoff tie.
