Turkish football club Galatasaray have filed a complaint with law enforcement authorities over statements and posts made by some social media users.
İdman.Biz reports that the Istanbul club announced the decision in an official statement.
“As Galatasaray Sports Club, we will continue to firmly exercise our legal rights in response to statements and posts targeting our club, management, athletes and millions of supporters, containing hate speech and deemed capable of disrupting public order,” the statement said.
The club added that it would continue to take all necessary legal steps against unlawful acts targeting its corporate reputation, members and supporters, in accordance with the principles of the rule of law.
