Kaiserslautern and Azerbaijan national team forward Mahir Emreli is making faster than expected progress in his recovery after suffering an injury in the 0-1 defeat to Hertha Berlin in the 12th round of the German Second Bundesliga.
According to İdman.Biz, citing prosport.az, the 28 year old striker has already begun individual training sessions and could return to action ahead of schedule.
Emreli is set to start ball training next week. At worst, the Azerbaijan international is expected to miss the next two rounds of the championship.
The next round of the Second Bundesliga is scheduled to begin on January 16.
